Nancy Bishaw "Sashi"
I was born and raised in New England in that little itty bitty state
called Rhode Island. After High School, I attended a business school
then went to work in the offices of such places as RI College, Aetna
Insurance and Raytheon. Somewhere in there, I married and became
the mother of five children and now, in the 21st Century, six adorable
little grandchildren call me "nana."
I have always had an interest in writing,
spending many hours composing poems and stories from elementary
school days right through to adulthood. I have read more books through
the years than I care to count--must be in the thousands. I just
love to read and after so much practice in the art of reading, it
is easy to distinguish the really great books from the average ones.
It is also easy to see how an average book might have been a great
one if only the author had someone to guide them in that direction.
I offer a guiding hand to all my authors
to make them the very best they can be in the world of publishing.
It is not always an easy process considering the revisions and rewrites.
Writing the book was the easy part--polishing it to perfection requires
the combined efforts of the editor and the author. Once that book
is polished so well that it shines, an artist takes it and encloses
it in a beautiful cover--almost like gift-wrapping it--and the book
is offered to readers world-wide.
As an editor, I have to say that the
authors I have worked with are truly outstanding. They are not only
writing sensational books, but also AWARD-WINNING books and no one
can ask for better than that.
Melanie
Billings
Melanie Billings has been in the manuscript clean-up
business for close to 3 years. Working for various Epublishers keeps
her on her toes and well-practiced in the art of editing and copyediting.
From the first time she ever picked
up a pen, Melanie has wanted to be able to creatively use the English
language. Her college years were spent at Roberts Wesleyan College
in Rochester, NY. There, Melanie carried two majors: English and
Communication. She spent three of her four years there working as
a reporter for the college paper. During her senior year in college,
Melanie won the Pegasus Award for poetry, which is given out yearly
by the RWC English department. She graduated in 1997, with a Bachelor's
degree in English and Communication.
Melanie's first love is writing. She
has a poetry compilation published with Epublishing 2000 (www.epub2k.com)
and a short story in a charitable anthology with RFI West(www.rfiwest.com).
When she can't write, Melanie spends her time editing and copyediting
anything from Historical Romance to Horror.
Being able to work from home is very
important to Melanie. When not busy at the computer, she spends
time playing with her 2-year-old son, Robby. Melanie, with her husband
Rob and son Robby, lives in upstate NY.
