Michael Feury

I was born in Limerick, Ireland in 1954 and lived around there most of my life. I've lived in Belfast, Northern Ireland and Munich, Germany and traveled a number of times to England, Germany and Spain plus visits to USA and Canada.

I'm a graduate of UC Cork in Ireland and worked for 16 years in supply chain management for two multinationals in Ireland - Krups of Germany and Wang Labs of the USA.

I've been self-employed in various fields since 1991, including manufacturing training, PC training, freelance writing and publishing.

I bought my first computer in 1977 - programs loaded from a cassette player and TV provided the output ! I've done a lot of system design work  from the user perspective with mainframe and mini computers. But it was the PC that grabbed me with its potential ever since I started working with one in 1985. I've had my own PC since 1990, and built my current one from scratch early in 1999.
