"Guardian
of the Continuum"
Joey W. Hill
The earth is dying. That's not
a news flash to Rob, or to anyone in the 20th century. His generation
has grown up with a resigned humor to the situation. But dreams never
die. Deep in his heart, buried so he doesn't have to get embarrassed about
it, Rob still wants the experience of loyal friends and a love that never
ends. He wants a dare-to-be-great situation. When Adam Al-Aziz comes to
Havenwood College, he gets it.
Rob expects his new roommate will need indoctrination into the social
requirements of college life - drinking, lying to women and rolling out
of bed five minutes before class. But Adam is not a college student. He
is the spiritual leader of a world whose job it is to protect all worlds,
including Earth. Two priestesses of Adam's world have disappeared on Earth,
and they are the key to the apocalypse that will bring mankind's time
to an abrupt end. Rob thought the hardest task he was going to face this
year was mid-terms. Instead he has to help Adam save the world. It's going
to be a rough semester.
Correen expected to attend Havenwood, quietly get her degree in Naturopathy,
and disappear again. She did not expect to fall in love with Adam Al-Aziz.
When she realizes she will follow him into danger without a thought for
her own life, she is frightened. When she realizes that the fate of the
world may hang on the healing of her soul, she is terrified. She believes
the secret her soul carries cannot be healed. She does not know the power
of a Guardian's love.

A big book, in more ways than one, GUARDIAN OF THE CONTINUUM won the Dream
Realm Award for fantasy, was a finalist for Fantasy Eppie, and a finalist
for the P.E.A.R.L Award. Sweeping in scope, fascinating in subject, the
book should be a permanent resident on every fantasy lover's hard drive
or ebook reader.
Diverse and complex, with a multi-layered plot, well-defined characters,
and action piled on action, GUARDIAN OF THE CONTINUUM deserves every accolade
it receives now and in the future--there will be many, I'm sure, both
for this book and for this outstanding author.

Joey Hill has done a superb job of presenting a tale of cynicism, love,
courage and revelation. It is easy to see why Guardian is the winner of
the Dream Realm Award for Fantasy from CrossRoads Publishing and a 2001
EPPIE finalist.

I feel the way I did when I read my first Laurell K. Hamilton, Tanya Huff
or Barbara Hambly! I promise you'll be satisfied, but left hungry for
the next book. That's what makes this one a keeper on my hard drive. More
than any other ebook I've read, this book convinced me that epublishers
have standards every bit as demanding as conventional ones. No wonder
it took the best fantasy from the Dream Realm Awards. It deserved it.

Guardian of the Continuum was a most interesting novel. I loved the way
life at Havenwood was painted. The story was entertaining, with liberal
dashes of humor to cut the tension and fully held my interest throughout
this
was an all together entertaining novel.

Very Highly Recommended
Written with profound spiritual implications and a flair for complexity,
GUARDIAN OF THE CONTINUUM reaches beyond even the unusual and the fabulous
nature of most ebook fantasies, creating a memorable tale.
Hill lends a depth and complexity to GUARDIAN OF THE CONTINUUM that is
seldom matched. Each character vividly lives with an individuality and
strength that pulls the reader deeply within the tale. Irreverent humor
and flair for the improbable lend a delightful counterpoint to the novel,
lending it a remarkable balance of light and dark, humor and tragedy.
